Danish Space Sector Internship: Join Space Denmark in Spring 2026
Would you like to learn more about Denmark’s growing space sector while gaining hands-on experience in business development, sales, and events?

As an intern at Space Denmark, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a small, growing organisation working at the intersection of business, policy, and space. You’ll have the chance to shape your own role and take ownership of your activities from idea to delivery.
Space Denmark is a new, independent platform that connects Denmark’s space actors and works to strengthen coordination, visibility, and international opportunities across the sector.
Søren Gram Riisgaard, Founder of Space Denmark, is looking for an intern for Spring 2026. The start date, length, and format of the internship will be arranged in accordance with your academic programme.
Tasks may include project coordination, content and communication, research, or member engagement – depending on your interests and the Space Denmark’s focus during the spring period.
It is an advantage if you speak and write Danish at a high level, but it is not required.
You don’t need to be a space expert (yet)
You might have a background in entrepreneurship, marketing, digital design, space technology – or something else entirely. What matters most is that you’re ready to work in a small, fast-moving organisation operating in one of the world’s most dynamic sectors.
Please note that this internship is unpaid, and your study requirements will be taken into account. Space Denmark doesn’t have a dedicated office, so you’ll be working alongside Søren in the volunteer-led co-working space Station, located at Copenhagen Business School in Frederiksberg. Remote work can occasionally be arranged, but the role is primarily in-person.
What you’ll gain from the experience
-
Insight into a sector that is growing rapidly, with Denmark playing an increasingly active role
-
Experience working strategically and practically in a small organisation close to the decision-making
-
The chance to develop and lead your own ideas and take responsibility from day one
-
Skills in navigating an international and interdisciplinary environment
-
Practical experience with events, international collaboration, communication, and advisory work
-
A stronger network in and around Denmark’s space sector
