About the position

Join Cobham Satcom’s Antennas & Terminals department in developing next-generation ground-based satellite communication systems.

As an Electronics & Integration Engineer, you’ll be the technical “glue” that brings together hardware, software, RF, and mechanical designs into fully qualified Satcom User Terminals (UTs).

You’ll be involved from concept to completion, applying your solid understanding of electronics and communications equipment. Working closely with specialist engineering teams (System, Hardware, Software, RF, Mechanics, etc.), you’ll integrate their deliverables into complete, high‑performance products. You’ll help define system solutions, participate in project planning, interface with customers, integrate prototypes, perform UT verification tests, analyse issues, propose corrective actions, and drive qualification with external test houses.

This is an exciting, hands‑on role that demands a proactive approach — and where two days are rarely the same.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the integration, test and certification of the UT under development
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering teams (System, Electronics, RF, SW, Mechanical, Operations)
  • Design small electronics circuits and develop scripts (e.g., Python, C) to support integration and verification activities
  • Interface with customers on technical topics and project progress
  • Plan, participate in, and coordinate qualification test campaigns
  • Document design, test results, and certification deliverables

As an Electronics and Integration engineer for terminals and connectivity, your qualifications should ideally be:

  • Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, RF, Wireless communications engineering or equivalent
  • Have relevant experience as an Electronics or RF engineer within electronics & embedded engineering.
  • Hands-on software skills (C, Python scripting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with certification standards (CE, MIL-STD, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, structured working style

The position is based at Cobham Satcom’s headquarters in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark. This is a full-time role, with typically 10-15 travel days per year.
